that all the talk of David replacing Ed in the “Oh no we should have voted for the other Millibanana” is a waste of air.

According to Parliament.uk, he prefers the shorter epithet of ‘Mr Umunna’

    Address as
    Mr Umunna

You cant beat the champagne socialists for a good slosh of hypocrisy 😉

Unlike his new party leader, Umunna prefers not to be described as a socialist. Once a leading light in the Black Socialist Society, he says he regards himself as a European social democrat.

I stand corrected, a hypocritical champagne social democrat

I was thinking the same thing a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately for him, I suspect the headline punsters and investigative hacks would have a bit of a field day.

But Labour isn’t exactly brimming over with fresh talent, is it?

If it’s Chukka, Tessa Jowell or David Miliband, you wouldn’t bet against him.

The next or next but one leader of the
    Tories though?

    I reckon this chap:

How is lobbying even legal? Surely it is just bribery dressed in a suit minus the brown envelope.

there are plans afoot to clean up the lobbying industry in the uk

    however…..

Nearly two years ago David Cameron warned that lobbying in this country had got ‘out of control’.

“As anticipated, the government’s plans for transparency regulations for the influence industry have lobbyists’ fingerprints all over them. The proposals lack both breadth and depth: they would reveal on only a tiny proportion of the industry, and then no meaningful information. The lobbying industry has triumphed here. This is what they want; a partial system of minimal disclosure.

oh and my moneys on ken clarke for next labour leader 😉

    I predict…This guy

As leader of the Labour Party ? ….you having a laugh ? ?

For a start he’s black …… we don’t do black political party leaders in Britain. Besides, the Labour party isn’t that open minded……all applicants must be middle class and white – vulgar working class and dark candidates need not apply.

Secondly, he’s got 18 months experience as an MP …… 18 months job experience and you think he can lead a party ? !

And thirdly, he would represent zero improvement on Ed Milliband. The geezer is a walking talking incarnated version of the Guardian. Expect nothing more from him than muddled waffling fence-sitting bollox…….“we’re just like the Tories but so much nicer”. The unelected bishops in the House of Lords, and a handful of LibDem peers, are doing a better job of challenging the government than that useless herbert.
