  • I need a grind

I have just been reading Mike Ferrentino’s article in Bike where he describes riding up a 13 mile steady uphill grinder of a climb. Now that is something I would like to pit myself at. A brain breakin, heart thumpin, leg wastin, demotivatin non too technical everlastin, ruddy great hill.
    Any suggestions in Britain please?

Bowes to Tan Hill is good fun. Pint at the top, then razz back down.

Yes, yes, good, more, longer, off-roader. Pref with stunning views from the summit and sweet singletrack back down.

Tan Hill sounds spot on. Im looking for off road but not stopper technical or impossibly steep. Don’t suppose it can be all that steep at 11 miles long!
Do they have decent ales at the top?

Mt Keen from Tarfside, then Fungle road from the north. Two for the price of one, plus you bag a Munro on a bike!
