I imagine theres many others on here who do a lot of road cycling and have nice fancy road bikes. I’m one of them and I’d bet the OP is a roadie who’s decided to get a mountain bike.
But I really cant think of why you would want to be able to adopt a full time trial position like that while out in twisty trails on a full susser?

you lot are funny, this is a man who is about to attempt the south downs way double double, when I met him last week he had just rode 175 miles and was carrying on fir another 60 or so before he was bivvying diwn for the night…
