removed all the pics and disabled my FB account yesterday, i feel strangely lifted, i really must get out more!…. now all i have to do is summon the strength to stop looking at ST 😕

They'll still have all your details unless you explicitely emailed them telling them to permenantly delete your account. They keep them incase you ever want to re-instantiate your account.

tried it myself, only lasted 3 weeks though

So … why should I sign up to Facebook?

Genuinely interested.

I mainly use it for the chat function. Really good when I'm in uni and just need to check something with someone and need a quick reply.

Of course that relies on people being online, but I can leave it open in a tab and my friends can just get hold of me as and when. Quick, easy and free!

There's these new fangled things for getting in touch with people.

Aren't they called telephones?

Some are even mobile i believe!
