    …said my daughter this morning.

Raided the loft at my folks’ house this weekend.

EDIT: There’s a few close ups here https://imgur.com/a/PfDGr

The pics make it all look better than it is. There’s lots of faded plastic, as well as missing guns and stickers, but very little is broken.
However I’ll never forgive Christopher Watson for convincing me to tear out the cardboard wall from the Millenium Falcon “to make it bigger inside”…

+150pts for still having Salacious Crumb. 🙂

-250pts for having Ewok village. 🙁

    😆

None of mine or my brother’s have survived in that good nick; probably spent as much time climbing into the AT-AT box and getting him to shove me down the stairs as we did playing with the toys. 😳

Woah, impressive! I used to collect all that. Had loads of it. None has survived. Whilst we’re here, can we settle a persistent question/argument – was there ever a toy version of the death star?

You obviously didn’t have an airgun as a kid.

Awesome. Brings back memories. No AT-AT?

Not the full thing. Just a couple of rooms iirc (throne room?)

Very nice. I remember getting my Snowspeeder for Christmas and it came with what seems like a US catalogue that had the mini sets in it and being pretty taken with them. So I’m especially impressed that you have some of them!

Were you the spoilt kid at school?

    Funny, someone else asked that.

I really wasn’t, but I am an only child so prob did a bit better at birthdays/xmas. A lot of the figures were hand-me-downs from my mum’s friend’s son who was a bit older than me.

There’s also probably 4-5 years worth of birthday/xmas pressies there too!

Impressive collection and yes I’m jealous.

My daugher’s other put-down/compliment was to liken my enthusiasm to that bloke from the Heroquest vid that was doing the rounds on YouTube the other week.

In fact that’s what triggered this; having watched that I was after my old Heroquest set and found all this too.

So what are you gonna do with all that old plastic tat now?

Haven’t decided… I’m not desperate for the cash so it might just be transplanted from my folks loft into my own for now. I also like the fact I still have it, so for nostalgia’s sake I’m happy to hang on to it.

My Star Wars mad nephew is visiting in the summer, so I’ll prob let him make the most of it (although it prob looks old and crap to kids by modern toy standards).

If I received a silly offer for it (unlikely as it’s only posted here and Facebook) I’d prob consider it.

It had a turbolaser that “blew up” when you pressed a button, too.

And a +1 for the Netflix series about the history of the toys.

I’m not a toy hoarder either (need the space for bike stuff) but it brings a smile to my face to see that lot.

Is that the one that had a trash compactor with movable wall?

Ha! Martin Web – you’re a lying little shit. You did not have a 1.5m diameter Death Star in your box room which was always locked.

    svladcjelli

Nope, that wasn’t the Death Star I had. Mine was all cardboard.

    ‘Twas this

    Ro5ey

Russell Wright had one of those Cardboard Death Stars…. I seem to remember it having a working “Trash Compactor”

I had a similar style cardboard “base” for Action Force.

    WOW!… That’s cool!

BTW I have spotted at least 2 figures which are worth AT LEAST £120 each uncarded and in reasonable nick.

    Do you know which ones?

I’ve been suspecting that the ones with in-tact vinyl capes (white Leia, Sandperson, Hoth Stormtrooper) might be a worth something as it seems likely that the capes got lost or damaged, but I don’t know for certain.

Which do you think are the high value ones?

    Hi verses.

The holy grail is the vinyl cape jawa if u have it…. But have a google for……. “Last 17 star wars figures”

There was an extra series of 17 brought out after Jedi. Mostly only sold in euro. You have at least 2.

“Luke in storm trooper outfit with removeable helmet”

And the skinny tall brown droid behind jabba and next to leia in bousk outfit.

Cheers, I have another 2 from that series too!

    Han in carbonite

    R2 with pop up lightsabre

Although they’re not attached, I have the backing card for those too!
