I think the new series of Dr Who is broadcast in a slightly different aspect ratio. This seems to be confusing either my Freesat box or the TV as it seems to swap between correct display and zooming to remove the small black bars and then munging the picture.

My money would be on the Freesat box as there’s no notification from the TV on a change in aspect ratio. But if I pause and sgow the Freesat menu it’s clearly still incorrectly displayed. So this is confusing me. It could still be the Freesat box as it still know what’s stream is being viewed.

If I force the aspect output of the freesat box to anamorphic then it looks ok for Dr who, but this sounds wrong. For everything else just leaving this on auto is correct. It’s just for Dr who theres a problem.

Any other ideas?
