I’m thinking of a last minute entry for this weekend, but I’ve never ridden there and don’t know which bike to choose for the course, does it suit a FS or HT, both are 26″?

Also how flat is the course I’m worried I’m going to be undergeared with 30T chainring and 11-42 cassette my FTP is 3.5w/kg

Hardtail should be fine, and gearing should be fine. It’s a short twisty course, and nothing – flat/up/down/rough/smooth lasts more than a couple hundred meters before course profile changes.

I raced it on a 29er hardtail, think lowest gear was 34/42. There might have been one very short punchy climb that I couldn’t get up but I think it was grip rather than gear letting me down. I was probably 3.0W/kg at the time.

Certainly didn’t feel the need for full suss
