Who washes undercrackers at 60 degrees!?

Interesting that they assume a 60degree wash. I’m not convinced not washing your underpants is too clever, but getting a good few days out of a pair of trousers is a good thing. Apart from anything else, it saves hassle.

I’d be interested in seeing the same figures, but for a pair of trousers washed at 30. Presumably, trousers require much more energy to make, but don’t use any more to wash (though they would be a greater percentage of the load. Actually, I wonder if their figures assume that the pants are being washed on their own!) so the graph would be more in favour of washing.

Agree on there being no point washing trousers that often though (my current pair of Howies troos have been worn since Saturday). And on there not being a need for another Howies bashing thread just yet.

just commenting that if you are planning on introducing clothing that doesn’t need washing as much, maybe pants aren’t the first place to start?

I am actually fairly ambivalent about howies marketing.

I have several pairs of Merino boxers from Choccy Fish. No seams in the seat so they work great on the bike, light, comfortable and last a few days between washes.
