To the right of the “Forum” menu bar item on the Menu bar on the top of the screen (if browsing on a PC) there a “Magazine” menu bar item that will show all the digital magazine options.

We are working on making it super simple to access all our digital options but here’s a quick summary of what we have currently.

There are three digital options for all our full members right here on the website and there’s an app version for mobile and tablet available by a third party provider in the app store.

1st the direct website options. (Click ‘Magazine’ in the main menu)

    PDF version. https://singletrackworld.com/download-category/pdf/

That section contains all our back issues and the latest issue available in PDF file format. That will open on the vast majority of devices from desktop to mobile. It’s a direct print magazine replica so it’s not formatted for specific devices. It’s literally derived from our print files that go to print.

    iBooks versions – https://singletrackworld.com/download-category/epub/

This is a mobile specific of a primarily text only version. It works on iOS devices and the files open in the iBooks app. It’s like a ebook version.

If you have a Kindle device or a Kindle app then this version works on those devices.

    https://singletrackworld.com/download-category/kindle/

To access it just navigate to that page ON YOUR KINDLE using its browser and click the download button. The file should open directly in your device and be stored there along with all your other ebooks. Again, this is mostly text only version.

Then there is the app store option available through a third party app provider called Pocketmags. This is a version of each issue that is specifically redesigned to display well on tablets and mobiles. We can include lots of extra features in the app version from video to extra images and galleries. It’s really quite stunning and even if you have read the magazine in print it’s well worth having a look at it in the app for a new design, layout and extra bits.

To access the app versions you need to register an account on the pocketmags website – https://pocketmags.com

Then you need to navigate to the ‘Activate Subscription’ option in the ‘My Library’ section. https://pocketmags.com/membersarea/activatesub

In the drop down list you will find ‘Singletrack’ listed. Choose that and then enter your email address that you use here on the website AND your subscriber number. This will activate your account on Pocketmags and link it to your account over here on Singletrack.

You can find your subscription number in the ‘My Subscriptions’ tab by clicking the down arrow next to your username at the top of any page on our website. Or you can check out this page here https://singletrackworld.com/premier-card

Once you have done that you can download and install the PocketMags app from the app store. Login to your newly created PocketMags account (The one you set up above) and your library will contain your issues of Singletrack.

Please note: The App does not give you access to back issues as part of your membership. The reason for that is that we are charged a fee for each issue that is downloaded by our members. We have 140 back issues in the library and if we allowed full access through the app to all the back issues we would have to increase our annual membership prices to accommodate those download charges. That would take the annual cost well over £100. So, through the Pocketmags account you will gain access to the issues we publish going forward, including the current/latest issue.

From issue 141 all magazine articles will also be available to full members as posts here on the website too and we are even planning to publish some magazine articles here on the website before they appear in print – kind of makes sense since many of you are digital only members and we have those features ready many weeks before they go to print.

We also have plans to build our own app to replace the Pocketmags app. When we do that we will be able to offer all full members access to the entire back catalog of issues through the app. I’ll keep you updated on progress there.

Hope that helps. Fire away with questions.
