Embarrassed about the size of my woodpile though

Border Terrier – Nope, but I do have two spaniels if that counts.
iPad – Sort of. Well, the wife does.
Audi – VW so like an Audi, but slightly less pretentious
Orange 5 – Alas not, only a Merlin
Guardian – Why read the guardian when the internet provides all the news I would ever need?
Niche Razor – Yup. DE all the way.
Coffee Machine – What? Make coffee myself? I have a man that does that for me.
Sadly, no log burner in this household and the only wood we have lying around is the stuff that the dogs have retrieved fromt he woods.Posted 5 years agoononeorangeSubscriber
I am clearly STW-schizoconfused.
Border Terrier – No dogs (but would love to have one)
iPad – Detest that nonsense and Apple in particular
Audi – Yes.
Orange 5 – Yes (both Mrs O and me)

Niche Razor – Detest shaving. Have to for work so the cheapest nastiest does it as a kind of protest

(almost) ashamed to say that i’m sliding down the scale of STWness – hose move = no longer have a stove* or attendant log pile….Posted 5 years ago
Worryingly, that’s a 50% fall in my compatibility rating as i’m now only a ‘yes’ on
*ok, we’ve got a nice man coming around tomorrow to give us a quote to take out the gas fire / cast surround, open up the fireplace (given the age of the house, and knowing similar properties, we think it would open out to around 5’6″ wide by around 5′ tall, showing the old stone lintels… just about enough room to fit a burner 😉 ) We’re back a mid-terrace from a big, old, semi and we’re really not convinced of the need for a stove. That said, when does need come into these decisions…fervouredimageMember
Border Terrier – Westie
iPad – Yep and a Mac
Audi – No car
Orange 5 – Nope, never. Specialized and Nukeproof
Guardian – Newspapers are for wimps
Niche Razor – No, beard.
Coffee Machine – Yes and one of the those little espresso hob pot things.
Is owning a chainsaw(s) also worthy of being added to the list? If so my score would be boosted greatly.Posted 5 years agoMikeypiesMember

My day has consisted of splitting firewood (8 bucket loads on the tractor with maul and chainsaw), watching rugby and a quick blast up Talybont forestry on the bike with the dog (not a terrier). Just fed the sheep and am now sat on my iPad drinking coffee.(alas only from an expresso stove top pot, but it was on the woodburner…). But I don’t own a rigid singlespeed.SaxonRiderSubscriber
Border Terrier – Nope. Had two rough collies in Canada, but sadly no from for dogs in this household
iPad – Yep, along with an Android tablet, a PC laptop, and iMac for general home use
Audi – Nope, but two VWs, including a T4 Caravelle with bike rack on tailgate.
Orange 5 – Never. 4 year old Fisher Big Sur here. Always been a bit of a ‘Trek-ie’, me.
Guardian – Sometimes. Or sometimes the Telegraph. Depends how I feel.
Niche Razor – Don’t need a razor. Have a beard.
Coffee Machine – Who needs a coffee machine when you’ve got a Bodum?
Come to think of it, it’s hard to see why I hang around, really.
Oh yes, it’s because if the log burner. I’ve got a crap wood pile, but a lovely Morso Squirrel to keep warm by.Posted 5 years agoScapegoatSubscriber
Border terrier? – No, Rescue Lurcher cross.
iPad… Mrs Scape has one that use
Audi. No, hardly. Discovery.
Orange Five no, but I do have a self-build 150 AM bike
Oh, and a Soul
Guardian? Huddersfield Examiner.
Niche Razor? Mach3 plus solid soap and brush, so does traditional use of bits of badgers count?
Coffee machine? Yes.
However, the log pile is for the chiminea.
I appear to have bred a STW clone though. At 13 he wanted a Ragley, and this year (he’s 15) has swapped it for a Soul. On which he has a Thomson elite, a charge spoon, and Pro 2 on DT Swiss. Oh,and he can tell the difference between packet and fresh ground Lavazza, and has learnt to drive the Bialetti only this afternoon.Posted 5 years agochippsSubscriber
Border Terrier – Nope, but I have half a rastafari poodle. Any good?
Log pile – yes, piled around the wood burner. Solid fuel Aga too. 🙂
iPad – Yes, though it’s a work one. iPhone thought and many, many Macs.
Audi – No. I’ve upgraded from my last, free, Mondeo estate to a cheap Skoda Fabia off Singletrack Dave.
Orange 5 – Kind of, yes. I’ve just bought a Gyro. It’s surely the 29er Five?
Guardian – No, sorry. I don’t read or watch any news. I’m a rubbish media type, eh?
Niche Razor – Yep. Merkur open comb.
So, based on that, I’m not very singletrackworld… I don’t even ride my singlespeed any more (though I did organise the 2001 SSWC…) I’d better be off then.Posted 5 years ago
