there's only one local climb that I've ridden geared that I've yet to conquer SS:

Daily commute on road/towpath – all year round. Run 40:15 on that.
Not enough riding on other bike which is 32:16 – purely due to time constraints, young family and other commitments.
Geared bike not been used for couple of years and is gathering dust.

All the time at the moment as I've only got 2 bikes and both are SS.

2 geared ones on order though 😳

Once or twice a week (10-20 mile) on some urban off-road stuff (river paths, etc). I love it, stomp stomp stomp.

Wouldn't get me doing a proper off road ride with it though!

I've not ridden a bike with gears for nearly 2 years. Currently have 3 SS bikes – one mountain, one road, one commute/hack.

Where I live is very flat. While there are a few climbs that are a bit steep and techy they're all short and far more interesting on a SS. It gives a little challenge to trails that aren't remotely challenging on a geared bike.
