Went into the garage to start building my tool wall & shelving.
Moved a few bits & pieces and noticed the top of my bench was damp – them checked the wall which was soaked.
Went outside to check what has happened and when next door had the fence replaced back end of last year it looks like they’ve knocked my garden store back against the wall.
I’ve moved it back away from the wall and pulled my bench out as well.
How long do you think it will take for the wall to dry out?

Depends on what the wall is made from, but with the current tempertature and high humidity I would say around 4 to 6 weeks. Assuming concrete blockwork wall then >4 weeks. Humidity is currently around 76 to 90%, you need to either get the sun or wind in it to dry it any quicker in Jan/Feb.

Sorry yeah – it’s brick built with concrete block pillars on the inside.

I seem to remember a rule of thumb of one month for each inch of wall thickness. 🤔
