- how do they feel jones bars
they feel great – it felt weird going back to 710mm risers recently after a winter on jones / titec bars. good, but weird.
they have pros and cons, but i’m converted. comfy, fast, feel very natural.
stu, you prefer the loops then? just for shifter / brake positioning or anything more to it? cheers. and damnit, i was after a ti h-bar too.. maybe i’ll buy a loop then as i have 2 titec ‘fakes’ )Posted 6 years ago
With the H Bar I always seemed to have my hands half on the brake lever clamps when climbing. That doesn’t happen with the loop though. There’s also room for shifters.
Apart from that there’s very little difference. I use the same length stem.
This shows how similar the loop and h are.

What’s the black loop bar?
Where, how much?
It’s a Jones alloy loop bar.
Available from Jeff or Biff for about £80 or you could get the Ti version for a bit more. 😉

That basket’s rubbish. I’m having a carpet fiber egobasket built to my own design. 😆macbMember
Can anyone verify sizing on the Jones Loop Bar, it seems very difficult to get specific info. My rough conversion from web pics gives me:-
Officially supplied – width CtoC at 667mm, sweep at 45deg, rise at 13mm
Using an imaginary straight line across bottom then overall front to back of 237mm
samepoint to nearside of clamp bulge 103mm
samepoint to farside of clamp bulge 133mm
farside of clamp bulge to nearside of loop inner 82mm
imaginary baseline to nearside of loop inner 215mm
rearward extension on inside below weld point 206mm
rearward extension measured from level with clamp bulge 144mm
width CtoC through middle of clamp line 449mm
width CtoC at base of side weld 395mm
width CtoC at top loop bend 190mm
Are these numbers about right?Posted 6 years ago
