Recently I’ve had a small part of my house underpinned. It doesn’t fall under building regs as it is an unheated porch and is therefore exempt.

Unfortunately, my insurers now won’t provide cover as it’s been underpinned and in their view the entire house is a risk (in reality the porch was poorly extended and I’ve now improved matters).

Does anyone know who might be able to provide house insurance for this situation?  A provider with sensible attitude to bikes would be helpful.

NB pedalcover were my old provider, and have previously been great, but unfortunately their underwriters take this stance.

Hi OP, own an insurance brokers and have a few firms who will look at this or, if you just want some advise. PM me, email in profile.

Long story short, will need a structural engineers report regards the remedial works, root cause etc.
