Racing seems to have been suspended for the day, looks like the bunch will just roll in.

I thought it all looked a bit confused. I had assumed that word would filter through and that everyone would sit up, but then with a few k to go one of the Leopard Trek team went on the attack which convinced me that nobody really knew what was going on. Really can’t imagine that the finish would have been contested the way it was had word got around.

i’ve just seen the youtube vid… that didn’t look positive. hope he pulls through.

CRASH: A massive fall in the peloton. There were no live pictures but this is a terrible sight. It looks to be a Leopard Trek rider. He is motionless with blood pouring from his head and nose, clearly unconscious as his helmet strap is being cut loose my the medics. It looks like a defibrillator is being carried out. yeah I’ve seen some stuff that he has died. I do hope not, these things are often confusing as it happens, so lets hope they got it wrong and for the best.
