As above I have some tech m4s ( standard hoses) and need to shorten the hoses. Have watched the hope video and it seems simple enough – will I need to bleed them after though?
Anyone any experiences?

shouldn’t – just make sure you top up the ends you cut with drops of DOT before rejoining and then when rejoined squeeze the callipers back and (if you have trimmed it at the lever!) then it will force any air bubbles back into the reserviour.

before cutting the hose remove the caliper from the disc and gently squeeze the lever – making sure the pistons don’t pop out. Cut the hose at the lever end, reattach then push the pistons back – should posh any bubbles into the resovoir

Howerver you should change the fluid annually and the brakes are very easy to bleed so no need to be scared of bleeding them

Just as an update – it seems so far that bleeding them wasn’t necessary . Shortened them as per the hope video and no problems at all. Much tidier 🙂
