We went up Blencathra in the middle of storm Ali, was a bit bracing. There was a group of six Yorkshire lads who went off to do Sharp Edge, which was  a bit brave / stupid (although it was sheltered from the worst of the wind by the summit itself). The lack of Mountain Rescue vehicles when we got back to the car suggested that either all six died or they all made it back ok.

Planners/architects/engineers! Take your pick! We’ve been ready for months, the box tickers however….
