    Morning all,

Myself and Mrs1981Miked are looking to go away at end of May(ish), not that fussed where we go as long as it’s sunny, hot, good food, good beer, quiet with some nice walks. Not in to big resorts, we visited Vergt in France nearly 4 years ago which was lovely and also met some lovely people there so we could always head back. Been to Spain and stayed in Playa Flamenca, Alicante and Algorda, all were nice and very hot but fancy something more inland this time perhaps, we were in Malta 2 years ago aswell which was nice.

Wife isn’t a great flyer so nothing over say 3 hours, flying from Edinburgh or Glasgow and something about the £800 for flights and accommodation. Gone are the days of flights and accommodation for £500 which I managed about 6 years ago.

    Anyway, all ideas greatly appreciated.

Finale Ligure. Brilliant food, beaches, sunshine, trails, the lot.

Inland Spain – do a tour of Andalucia, for example, maybe head into Extremadura?

Thanks for the ideas so far. Is bike hire for the trails a possibility? Not sure the wife would venture to far off-road but some easy fire roads would be ok.

Is that £800 each or in total.
Friend has a great small hotel in the Sierra Espuna,Murcia region of Spain. He’s got some decent bikes he lets clients use and there are plenty of fire roads and quiet tarmac roads in the Espuna.Andres is a great guy and will give you all the info you need to get out and about.
Murcia San Javier is the best airport to fly into and car hire can be ridiculously cheap. The hotel does evening meals but are a bit pricey so the village bars are the best bet.Bajo el Cejo is the hotel.
