I’m looking at using a Zee mech on my bike and want to ask the ST Hive Mind which shifter to pair with it.

Before a torrent of ‘Zee you fool’ floods in, consider that I would like to use Hope’s Direct Mount to keep the bars tidy. As far as I know the Zee shifter doesn’t allow this, I’m not sure of the Saint shifter does – hence the query.

Has anyone gone this route? I’ve got Tech X2 levers with the Reach and BP adjusters not the newer X3’s.

I ran my tech EVO levers with xtr shifters on hope match makers. I like the brakes a long way in towards the stem for one finger braking. However, this put the shifters too far away. I ended up going back to the standard shifter mounts.
