The wife has gone barmy at me for making the washing machine smell like death due to my muddy biking gear. I rinse off as much mud as possible off my shorts when cleaning my bike down, but the W/M stinks! I’ve used one of those Dr Beckmann cleaners at 90 degrees but it now smells even worse. Any proven fixes you can suggest for me?

Take the filter out and clean that. Also clean the powder tray

Soak all the stuff first overnight with some detergent, then wash

Let your wife do the washing.. wtf were you thinking operating a woman’s machine.

Does other washing now smell like death one washed? If yes cannot help. If no then what is the problem?

Try a dishwasher tablet through on a hot wash – never done this myself but heard it works

Half a litre of urine in the softener compartment will sort it right out.

If you’ve been using liquitabs, gel or other liquidy-type detergent then stop. Hot wash or two with the cheapest bio POWDER you can get should see it right. And try to use powder instead of the liquid detergent on a regular basis. For some reason if we use only the liquid stuff it always ends up making our machine stink.

2nd 95′ with Bio powder. This MUST be done regularly to clean the pipes.

This – Liquids etc make machines stink. Use powder and it will be gone. Blame the wife NOW for buying the wrong detergent 😈

put a dead tramp in the washing machine and blame it in him (or her).

I told mrs Ricky to leave my biking gear in the shed after a muddy ride last week so I could brush them down first but she ignored me and told me I was being stupid and soft and a washing machine is for washing clothes and iff washing clothes f£@&s it up then the washing machine isn’t good enough therefore we need a new one……….ah right,yes see what you mean 😕
