Can anyone measure the internal diameter of Kitchen Roll and post it here please – it’s for a woodwork project and need to know this before the kids start turning a spindle.

    I know…..underprepared teacher!!

How accurate do you need it to be? I just measured, and it looks like 49 or 50 mm.

Doesn’t need to be too accurate – I’ll turn spindles to 40 diameter.

    Many thanks guys

It’s a thin bit of card surrounded by squashy paper and the kids aren’t likely to be going for an interference fit. How accurate do you think it needs to be?

No idea. That’s why I flipping asked. I’m neither a D&T teacher, nor do I know how to build stuff very well. I just wanted to get him the info he requested as quickly as possible. FFS.
