    it’s not that big anyway

    met a 4ft one of these while out on the bike and it looked very solid

    and a lot of these

    6ft was the biggest, apparently you will be very lucky to see a snake out here as they run away from people, I saw about 10 last summer.

    Mike, same here in Hong Kong, snakes commonplace. The original story I thought amusing (obviously not for the owner), puns on lizard skins etc. I think it’s an Ardent though !

    That is a Tegu..

    Very affectionate IME.. will come up and nuzzle you for some affection like a dog would..

    Strong like Ox.. it’s a good all-year round lizard for most applications, perhaps the lizard to end all ‘what lizard for..?’ threads..

    Can be a bit draggy on fire road climbs though, and obviously a bit porky for the weight weenie crew
