The btinternet email service has for years been done through yahoo mail (but with a bt address). They have recently changed this and switching to their own system and today seems to be the changeover for me as i can no longer access my yahoo inbox.

When the switch was announced a few months ago i think they mentioned that old emails and address books would be transferred over to the new system. However im a bit wary of completing the steps to activate the new account just incase that is not the case and in doing so totally deletes what was in my yahoo account. Is anyone a bt internet customer who has made the switch and noticed if their old emails / address book have indeed been transferred over? Thanks

Hi Omar, I went through this process about 3 weeks ago.
All my mail came across (many Years worth).
I had an issue activating the BT account as there was a problem with my user id – but the helpdesk sorted it for me.

Cheers can relax a bit now. I reckon i must have emails in there from the 1990s 😀
