    Edukator, the Irish Times is carrying an article that green cards will be needed to cross the Irish border. I would make the assumption you are going to need a pile of paperwork

    ^^ Yep, the BBC article mentioned that potential issue too, on the NI border.

    I swapped my pre 2007 UK licence for a french one and automatically retained the grandfather type rights that i had for trucks up to 7.5 t etc. The process to swap does change from department to department with some apparently more painful than others.

    I lost everything over 3t5 despite changing a 1978 license. Dept. 64.

    Still, Brexit hasn’t happened yet.

    Just printed the forms today and nowadays it is a national rule. Used to be by department when doing it at the préfecture.
