Just went to change the front pads and noticed that one of the pistons is slightly bent. Is it worth going for the whole rebuild kit or just stick the pads in and see what happens. I ride in areas with extended descents so I’m a little worried about brake failure.

The little pillars that the pads clip on to are bent on mine too after ham fistedly pushing the pistons back in. No problems here, pads are a bit loose but nothing to worry about.

I bought new pistons with the intention of changing them but never got round to it because apparently you need compressed air to blow them out which I don’t have.

you dont need compressed air at all. just pump the pistons out before draining the fluid. its really easy to replace the pistons.
