    All

I’d like to store my bikes vertically. Are there any issues using the front wheel – is undue force placed on carbon forks?

    Thanks

A bike weighs a few kilos, you weight a lot more. The stresses of hanging the bike are not that great. Ive done it for years and I’m still alive

No problems at all unless you’re storing them like that for decades at a time. The forces generated are miniscule in comparison with the forces generated just by riding it.

    Thanks – as I hoped

I hang my tandem from the front wheel. Last time I checked, the wheel is still round!

I hang mine from the back wheel – you can then take the front wheel off and the bike doesn’t “stick out” into the room/garage as far.
