    Hi,

I’m about to buy a bike from Halfords, I’ve found some vouchers on line (5% off), but they only work when ordering online, I don’t seem to be able to do that.

The chap instore in Northampton told me if I could get one that prints with a barcode, he could put it through at the till.

Anyone know where I can get one?

You can order and pay on line then go pick up in store and the price you pay is what ever your online total is and if they have any in store discounts then you normal get this too.

Just tell them that you want the 5% in-store or you’re walking – get the manager if you have to

walk if you don’t get it

yes, i guess i should get a bit firm.

    it’s the 08 boardman pro – was £999, now £850
it’s taken a whack as the mech hanger is snapped – the mech (xo!!!) looks fine…
…. I wonder if I should be pushing for a whacked bike reduction too?

also, the reserve and collect thingy doesn’t let you add a code redemption in!.. pretty annoying.

Stop. Sit Down. Think. Then ask yourself the final question:

“Do I really want a bike from Halfords…”

TBH you’re unlikely to get much more discount – the boardmans go out faster than they come in, so if you don’t buy it someone else will. A better approach would be to try and get something free with it. Make sure you speak to one of the ‘specialists’ – Their bonuses depend on selling these things so they’ll probably chuck in some free stuff for you.

well, from what I’ve read and heard, it’s a pretty smart choice – if not too trendy.
but it’s 24lbs, has a great fork, juicy 9 breaks, sramx9 triggers and front mech, xo rear…
…and the frame looks really nice.

obviously £800 on i bike that you can’t test is a bit scary!
