I wondered what people thought of this?
when I first read about it, I thought exploitation etc, but Im sure Halfords are responsibly managing their suppliers and it seems they are doing it to avoid import duty and labour costs, etc.

but I then think well they are a business and need to get stuff as cheap as possible as we in the UK are in a squeeze and cheap products are what people are asking for, but then I wonder where will it all end, which is the next country/region to start offering even cheaper wages costs, tarrifs etc.

Well I would have assumed that their own-brand (Carrera, and whatever the stuff is that’s even cheaper than Carrera) bikes were made in Taiwan or China anyway, so a switch to Cambodia is neither her nor there really.

Production of low end bikes goes where it’s cheapest…. Vietnam, Singapore, Malasia,India, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Britain……….whatever 🙂
