I’m currently using veloflex yellow tyres with gum sidewalls…

They are a great riding, and looking tyre, but seemingly the more use they get, the more they are puncturing, twice so far in less than a week, and 5 punctures since new, about 12 months ago.

I really do like the the gum side walls and choice of coloured tyres that veloflex offers, but blimey, my patience with punctures is wearing thin!

Anything out there I’m missing? It would be nice if they were green or yellow tyres…

You can get all manner of tyre colours if you look around – depends how much of a retro-fixie-townie-courier wannabe you are though ;-). Gumwall is lighter but not as strong, but tyres start punturing more when they are old and are wearing out – it’s their way of saying ‘dump me’. I personally think all black is best, but then i’m a no-sticker de-badge miserabilist!
