    Following an amazing bit of air and a not-so-amazing landing, I need to replace my M772 XT rear mech.

    The current mech measures 100mm between the pulley centres. Which one do I need to buy?!

    Help appreciated.

    Probably your best approach is to check the size of chainrings and cassette. I run a medium cage mech on a 44/34/22 and 11-32 setup – you just have to be a bit careful with not crossing your gears. But if you have a 3 ring setup at the front, want peace of mind and you’re not too fussed about ‘look’, just go for the long cage.
