  • Great service warranty incident on my Skoda Karoq

    End of a bad day – Karoq went into go slow mode last night, sounded awful.

    Rang the Skoda Assistance phone line – you get the choice of an AA standard or some sort of special VAG technician (Which can’t necessarily come as quick.)

    Took the VAG option – he was here before 8am – diagnosed it in 30 seconds (faulty throttle body – apparently some not so good third-party part). Got in his Van did the warranty on a computer, had the part with him and fitted it within 30 mins.)

    Sorted by 9am.

    Part would cost £512. Ouch.

    This is all new to me as I’ve not had anything wrong with a new car in about 15 years!

    I love my Karoq though – he said on the quiet this part is going to get changed in the long-run to the better one I know have. I did have one of the first Karoqs in the country though.

    Sounds like Skoda bought a pup there. I bet their lawyers are rubbing their hands with glee, the greedy shysters.
