I’m genuinely flattered and proud that so many people want to come from other countries to live in the UK. I love that fact I live in such a multicultural society. I love the things immigrants bring with them, their culture, food etc. As far as I’m concerned, if someone want to move here to live and work then that’s fantastic. In the last 10 years I’ve worked with people from just about every eastern European nation, I’ve had an Iranian boss and a Greek boss, my town has loads of Nepalese and Chinese people and out of the shop window at work I see people of every creed and colour under the sun walking past. Today I served the most lovely Sikh chap who spoke little English but made me smile and made my day.
The only people I get sick of are moaning Brits.

So SD, what was the program actually like? Is it worth watching? What was the “truth about immigration” or did the BBC not deliver on the promise of the program? Did the program give different sides of the immigration debate? Would you recommend replaying it for students at school?

Sorry for the questions, but it seems an important topic so hope it got a decent airing. Did it?

I didn’t watch right to the end but it seemed quite balanced to me. If I were the type to jump to wildly inaccurate conclusions, or to troll Internet forums using various log-ins, it probably wouldn’t change my opinion much. Not that much of that kind of thing goes on here of course.
