General grease, for threads, bearings, putting on stuff etc. Needs to be not orange film after 12 months wet riding. Never used Shimano / Park just whatever LBS had in at the time. What about that webby Phil Wood niche grease? Thats expensive stuff.

Anyone use something from Halfords which will cost alot less and is rubbish but you will say its better, like those that use Chainsaw oil on their bike chains etc etc.

You don’t want to be buying general purpose grease from your LBS
Wilkos have a big tin of Comma grease for £2.99

Guys who run local bike maintenance courses say just get Halford’s cheapest grease from the car section – bike stuff is way overpriced.

Don’t buy expensive bike ones. General purpose grease such as castrol LM and copperslip are the two things you need

you dont want to be using copper-slip type grease on any thing that rotates, its an anti-sieze.
Esso Hp-222 is what you want.
