Looking at doing these next year, who has done them?

Thoughts on bikes? I loved my yeti 4x Special Projects frame and thought that was going to be ideal, but it just didn’t work on the technical out of saddle climbs, can’t put my finger on why though.

So what makes a good Enduro bike?

30lb trail bike equiped with chain device and either tubeless or double ply tyres. It has to work perfect cos the weekend will knock the shit out of it.

I hadn’t considered dual ply tyres tbh. I was going to do one this year on my Spech Enduro but had to pull out because of injury.

Two mates who are bloody good riders did a couple of rounds each and their bikes got battered. Both suffered from punctures, one ruined his day. So dual ply and possibly 2.5″ tyres might be wise.

I think an FS with around 160mm travel and a dropper post is a good call. Make the bike as light as you can afford while maintaining strength.
