    So way back when my Daughter had her first android phone (year 5) I linked it as a supervised account.

    When she swapped to an iPhone it wasn’t an issue as I set up the controls on that.

    Now fast forward to now and she’s swapping her iPhone for an android.

    Now the problem I have is that I can’t remove supervision from her account (now nearly 14).

    Only way I can see (as I don’t seem to have the “removed supervision” button 🙄 ) is to permanently delete her Google account – but this would cause issues with everything that’s linked to it – email, iTunes, social media and what ever else is linked……

    Is there something I’m missing?

    Thanks

    Family Link app

    Controls

    Account Settings

    Account Supervision

    The Stop Supervision options are in there or you can just dial it down (our approach with our 14 year old).

    This assumes your daughter is opted in  still as by default they get unsupervised at 13 iirc.

    Since the contracts are in our name we supervise by agreement with him (and can remote wipe the phone if stolen etc).

    We also use it as a safety measure because he road rides solo.

    I’ve not tested the above to the point of removal.

    @garage-dweller thanks for that.

    I’ve just dialled it all back, and will see how that goes.
