  • Good B&B to base oneself from in Scotland?

Looking to go up to Scotland for 4/5 days. Can anyone recommend a decent quality B&B to base oneself out that would allow a variety of decent trails over the days? Thanks. Relatively new to the scene, so nothing massively technical, but in good shape so decent length would be ideal. Scenery, of course, is a must!

Multi stop is a good bet! So more than one place. Scotland is huge!

think there’s a nice one in gretna so the trails in Torridon are only about 5 hours away. As MussEd said, Scotland is a big place. Your as quick driving from London to Glasgow as you are Glasgow to some places in Northern Scotland.

That’s the place we now always use if your planning on being around glentress or inners etc

Somewhere near Stirling, best bet for being fairly central.

Craigatin Courtyard at Pitlochry – central, fantastic place and run by a keen mtber who can give you some great routes (not me by the way!)

We did exactly this recently, and opted for a self catered cottage instead… that way when the weather wasn’t great we didn’t have to sit in a poky b&b lounge.

    We stayed here:

Near pitlochry – plenty of natural riding around, and 45 mins from laggan if you fancy a trail centre.
