- Gisburn riders….. advice please.
Hope to have a couple of hours to spare after seeing a mate in Skipton tomorrow or next day. I see Gisburn is quite close….. so if you only had a couple or 3 hours spare, were not as fit as you should be and hadn’t ridden off road for 5 months, which bits would you ride at Gisburn?!
Looking forward to it, so want to make the most of time there.

You should be able to get around the whole thing in 3 hours from Cocklet Hill with enough time for having plenty of breathers. I generally take a bit under 2 hours, and I’m not exactly racing.
If you’re forced to choose, the upper loop starting from the D&P is probably more fun heading downwards, with Hully Gully, Slab and Bottoms descents, whereas the highlight of the lower loop is Homebaked, which is superb.Posted 5 years ago
