Parents of 12-16 year olds… we have a Christmas toy collection at work for local kids in care, I’d like to add something for older kids, but all I can think of is smelly stuff or rebooting my old iPhone 4s (probably very uncool now!). Any suggestions?

Amazon vouchers always seem to be the only request from my teen nephews/nieces.

We have this in work each year. Ask the care organisation for a list of suggestions? We see lads asking for football related items, tracksuit trousers etc, girls asking for makeup. Both genders ask for stuff like SuperDry…

I’d avoid a set of encyclopaedias.

It’s been my experience that kids of this age already seem to know everything.

Phone up the place and ask them about any big ticket item. They always struggle to get them.

Then email around work and see who will contribute. I did this last year. Results were amazing.

Top of the range Galaxy with an insurance policy each. If any of them is into music then a Stratocaster and Kemper.

Insurance will be fortune for a teenager in a big car like that.
