    Hi all

I’m trying to replace a shock bushing for my son’s bike. Can’t find them anywhere.
    It’s a Suntour Radon shock on a ’21 Giant Stance 29.
The shock bushing has a 6mm bore but I can only find Suntour bushings with 8mm bore.

Does anyone know of an alternative manufacturer that makes bushings to fit this.

I would put a monarch on it, but not sure it’s worth it as will probably chop it in in the summer for a bike that’s a bit heavier duty.

Thanks in advance for any help 🙂

I think you are looking at the reducer, not the actual bushing. The bushing is a thin sleeve that fits internally into the eyelet on the end of the shock, and the reducers push into that. Either one from each side, or a sleeve all the way through, with spacers around it on either side.

The bushing will be either an imperial one or a metric one, I think 1/2 inch or 13mm.

The reducer will be sized to fit this and the inner bore will match the bolt hole in your frame. New reducers will be available from TFtuned.

    Thanks so much all.

TW, do u think I’ll need the reducers (the silver alu plugs that push in either side) or the actually bushing (sintered tube that presses into the eyelet) or both. Which tend to wear first?

    Many thanks again 🙂

Offset bushings.com are good for this sort of stuff – they do normal ones as well as offset ones. Usually it’s the du/ plastic bush that needs replacing rather than the metal bits in side them.

As Joe says, the DU sleeve presses out with a wee tool, and the you can press a new one in. A wrap of ptfe tape on the reducer can be used as a short term bodge if there is play between the reducer and the bushing.

If you tell them the shock you have and bolt size etc then order this:

    Standard Bushing

The cheap tool they do works ok for fitting / removing the bush:

    DU Bush Tool

Then replacement du bushes are only £2 after that:

    DU Bush
