Had a strong smell of gas suddenly in the office this morning. Neighbouring offices also noticed it. Vacated office, phoned gas board.

They said they would send an engineer within an hour (2 hours later still no sign). Gas board told us ok to be in building but don’t use electronic equipment. Just leave it switched on but don’t use it.

Apparently the gas board have had a lot of calls and are blaming it on a gas Cloud? Anyone heard of one of these before? It was a really strong smell like you’d left the gas on the cooker so there must have been a lot of It! Where would this have come from and would it just float around annoying people? Am I about to go poof! using my phone to type this?

Anyone owning up to Phal consumption?
