The maps on my Etrex 20 have been playing up – roads have stopped showing. Any ideas?

Try taking the memory card out then put it back again. Sometimes it can get knocked out of place.

Have you got the correct map enabled (and any others disabled)?
(Etrex 30…Setup>Map>Map Information Select Map)

It might be worth doing a factory reset (check online for how to do this). The data on my etrex 20 once got corrupted after I was playing around with the position of the menu icons and it stopped displaying maps correctly. Quick reset and everything worked ok again (from what I remember it doesn’t delete any of your map data).

Do you disable all but the one you are using? Mine tends to have a couple for different parts of the world on it at any 1 time.

yes, I ‘lost’ my OS maps for a while – as above the SD card had got unseated (that and switching off / disabling the other maps is a good call).
