I seem to be having trouble to reliably get turn-by-turn navigation with some routes on my Edge 800. I have got turn by turn guidance seleceted under route options, but for some routes it works but not others. It always seems to work on routes that I have ridden before & saved as a course, but not always on others I download or create on bikehike etc. Does it matter if you create a tcx/gpx route or is there something I am missing?

week in the alps this week so used this for the first time. still not 100% but use tcx file, save in new folder on the garmin. I would also recommend not navigating to start of route as whenever you go off course it tries to take you back to the start.
