I found an old thread on these, but no one had them yet as they had just been released.

Now a few months have passed. Has anyone got one?
Was thinking it would be great mounted to a K-Edge topcap mount so it doesn’t get it the way.

Are you getting the claimed battery life of 8 hours?

I am looking at this or the older Edge 500 for roughly the same price.

Yep, I have a 25 – besides Garmin nerfing the Bluetooth bit of the software on the first update I received, it’s been great (it took around 2 weeks before the revised software version came to rectify it)… I’ve used it on and off road for navigation and don’t really see the need for more than the breadcrumb trail nav system.

Battery wise – I haven’t had it on for more than 4 hours, but that was 30% remaining from full charge with live tracking enabled. I would imagine that with the bluetooth off, it would be significantly better.

Top tip – take a little time to add waypoints before each junction when you are creating your route and the unit will bleep at you and count down to a junction.
