Is there any downloadable or purchasable software where i can download the ride info from a Garmin to, that is not online?

Something like Garmin Connect but offline would be spot on.

Have you tried the garmin basecamp software?

If you load all the maps in I’m sure you can use it offline.

I use it to load maps onto my garmin

No. I will have a look at it, thanks. I’ve not bought a GPS yet, but am looking into one soon.

Aye – just download basecamp and it will use the maps on your GPS while it’s connected to your PC.

I was kind of hoping for some software that would keep a history of my rides, but only on my pc, not online.

    That’s what Basecamp will do.
