Plotted a route last week on Bikehike, 37.7k and 1865m of climbing up one side and down another way off Helvellyn with some extra bits thrown in.

Finished the ride on Saturday, Garmin says 33k and 2000m of climbing (and 3.5hrs of riding, when it took us a lot longer).

Checked on Garmin Connect & Strava when I get back and it’s straight lined the route several times, particularly on the hikeabike sections.

The Garmin is an 810 and the Autopause was set to ‘when stopped’ (turned it off in anger on Saturday night). Mate who rode with me and his 510 also had straight lines and was robbed of the same KM but his elevation was about right !

So is Autopause the culprit or is it something I’m missing. WTF is going on ?
