Do any other STWers own either the Garmin 935 or 945 and have had the heart rate monitor on the back of the watch crack? Has it impacted the HRM and accuracy of it?

I am looking at these watches instead of the fenix series as I prefer the look but see reports of cracked HRM and when I look on eBay I see most models for sale secondhand are cracked too.

Had a 935 for 2 years and it was faultless. No damage and no cracks – but I did manage to split the strap tidy loop (keeps the strap from flapping about), so replaced the strap with an Ebay copy that appeared to be identical to the Garmin strap but cost a fiver instead of 45 quid.

I didn’t wear the watch tightly round my wrist unless I was exercising, then I just did it up 1 notch.

Was looking to upgrade it to a 945, but got a great deal on a Fenix 6, so went with that instead.

@dickbarton how do you find the Fenix 6 compared to the 935? Is the weight and size difference noticeable?

The supposed cracking issue has me re considering the fenix 5 plus or 6,

One of each in our house, no cracking so far.
