  • garmin 1030 map issue… can anyone help

i plugged the garmin into the computer today and got told there was a map update, i forgot that my garmin was bought in the states so it has now overridden my euro cycle map with one of the US. I downloaded the euro maps ages ago and its still in my ‘purchases’ tab on Garmin connect. Easy, i thought, ill just download that to the sd card and it will resurface. That was 4hrs ago and still i cant access the euro maps. ive tried disabling all the US maps in the activity profiles but still, when i go outside and hit start, the map showing is a rudimentary version. Can anyone help as im now at a loss for what to do and i need it for a trip on Saturday 🙁

Is the Euro map active in your settings?

I’ve got an Oregon so don’t know the 1030.

I’ve looked at mine that has 3 Euro cycle maps – Central, East and West. They appear in the Garmin directory on the 1030 as disc image files, I think they are called D6016070A, D6017070A and gmapprom. See if those files are there. I install mine using Garmin Basecamp software if that makes a difference.
