Just musing on doing this ride and wondering if it’s still snowbound or doable?

If it is how long to do a clockwise loop from talybont?

Black Mountains were hard going yesterday, tracks still full of snow and meltwater. That’s the path behind my tent in the picture below…

2weeks ago it was really dry….. I can see Penyfan & thats covered in snow still.  soz thats not much help…

its a 3hour loop from talybont. 7hrs from cwmcarn

No that is a help thanks – I would be on my own doing it for the first time with a gpx so will wait for conditions to be better I think.

Alternative would be Cwm Carn but did that recently or FOD unless someone else can recommend something between Cardiff and FOD – not BPW as only have a part day.
