I’m doing the 100k route and from what I understand there is a fair bit of road work, I currently ride an alu Cannondale Rush, built pretty light with front and rear lockout, I’d be using Maxxis Larsen TT tyres.

I know a lot of riders ride the course on CX bikes, so I’m thinking that a full suss would be a bit too much.

That said, it could be an excellent excuse to build up a lightweight hardtail. 🙂

Yes, full sus is ‘too much’ but it’s still fine – I did it one year on a 6″ 30+lbs bike (admittedly in horrible conditions) and finished high up – full sus does mean that you can ride with rock hard tyres which makes the road stuff a lot quicker.

Hmm, might build up a nice light hardtail then.

You’ll be find on a FS, there are 1 or 2 fields where it will be
apprecated (I Know)!! That said, I’ll be riding it on a
    HT this year.
