    You could wear a trail lid quite happily but if you’re doing the uplift you may as well use a full face.

    My thinking exactly, if you’re not pedalling up and you own a full-face, why not?

    I did the uplift couple of weeks ago. Started out in my fullface but changed to open as there was still a lot of pedalling on some tracks, plus it was dead warm. Fullface would be fine though.

    What lummox said. The speed you can pick up on some of the runs (wibbly wobbly, sixtapod and willy waver spring to mind) would make for a painful crash if your face was to act as a brake.

    I ride in a full face even when climbing up (sling it on the back of the pack)
